Overview
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website https://www.finanseal.app/ and the free online tools provided by Finanseal (including mortgage, credit card, personal loan, compound interest, car finance and self-employed tax).
By accessing or using the site, using our tools, saving work to history, or creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the site.
Please read these Terms carefully, along with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, before using the site.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this site. By using the site, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
We reserve the right to refuse or restrict access to the site at any time if we reasonably believe you do not meet these requirements or have breached these Terms.
Our Services
Finanseal provides free browser-based tools. The tools are designed to process files and calculations on your device where possible. You can use the tools without creating an account. An optional account allows you to keep saved history across sessions and manage your preferences.
We may add, change, or remove tools or features at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular tool, format, or feature will remain available indefinitely.
How the Tools Work
- Browser processing: our tools run in your web browser where possible. Your files and inputs are not uploaded to our servers during normal use or when you download a result from a file-based tool.
- On-device resources: some tools may download a model or other resource to your browser for local processing. The first visit may take longer while that resource is cached locally.
- Save to history (optional): if you choose to save to history, we store either your original and edited files (for file-based tools) or your scenario inputs and key outputs (for calculators) for seven (7) days, after which they are automatically deleted. Guest history is linked to your browser session and can be claimed to your account when you sign in.
- File limits: where a tool accepts file uploads for history saves, individual files are typically limited to 20 MB. Supported formats and any other limits are described on each tool page.
Accounts
Creating an account is optional. If you register, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, or unlawful activity.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the site and tools only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload, process, or save files or content that infringe copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights, or that you do not have the right to use.
- Upload or process unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
- Attempt to interfere with the site’s security, functionality, or infrastructure (including automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks, or circumventing rate limits).
- Misrepresent your identity or submit false information through our contact or account forms.
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
We reserve the right to remove saved history, suspend access, or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe these rules have been breached.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the files and data you upload or create using our tools. By choosing to save to history, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display back to you, and process those files or scenario details solely to provide the history feature for the retention period described above.
You are solely responsible for the content of your files and for ensuring you have the necessary rights to upload and edit them. We do not monitor user content except as needed to operate the service, respond to lawful requests, or address abuse reports.
Intellectual Property
All content on the site (including text, graphics, logos, tool interfaces, and software) is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or use it commercially without our written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your files or saved scenarios to us.
Free Service
Our tools are provided free of charge. We do not charge for downloads, basic tool use, or saving scenarios to history. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, we will update these Terms and make any charges clear before you incur them.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the site or any tool at any time without liability to you, though we will use reasonable efforts to give notice of significant changes where practicable.
No Professional Advice
Our calculators and similar tools provide estimates for general information only. They are not financial, tax, legal, mortgage, or other professional advice. Results depend on the figures you enter and on simplifying assumptions. You should not rely on tool output as a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified professional, and you should verify important figures before making decisions.
Disclaimers
The site and tools are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not warrant that the tools will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of any output (for example image processing results, compression levels, resized dimensions, repayment estimates, tax figures, or investment projections).
